The first time I attended ROTH was in 2013. Prior to that time, my sister Audrey, would always rave about ROTH on a yearly basis in a bid to get us to attend. So that year, I took her on. I asked her, “what is the one reason why I should attend?”. In response she said there was more than one reason but since I requested for just one, it would be that ‘ROTH is a “no-holds-barred”, “down to earth” , “no pretences”, “no airs and graces” gathering of Christian women sharing relevant life issues based on kingdom principles. For me, the honestly pitch got me, so I decided to go! Back then we used to pay to attend ROTH.
That year, the theme for ROTH was “Exhilarations”. There were 4 speakers that year and from the 1st speaker, my mouth was agape. Agape at her sincerity and openness, and that was the beginning. By the time the 4th speaker was done, my jaw had almost dropped! All the speakers were so real!! At the end of the day, not only did I come away feeling Exhilarated but I was also challenged! I must say that since then, my life has not been the same! They tell us that we should get a yearly medical check-up, so for me, ROTH is my annual spiritual check-up.
As woman, mother, daughter, wife, career woman in today’s world, we are constantly doing the balancing act, juggling all the balls life throws at us, that it is so easy to lose yourself, to lose your essence, your focus. We live in a world with so much pretense. Every day we have to wear our masks just to get through! So ROTH has become where I recalibrate and realign with my purpose. I always check in at ROTH to make sure I’m focusing on the right things and get the right tools and insights to make sure I do just that. I recommend ROTH to every woman who wants not only to run this race of life but wants to run it according to the master plan for her life. I am so looking forward to ROTH and to seeing you there!
